Whilst spending some down time watching Sky Arts I saw an advert that they were hosting a contest to find their portrait artist of the year, so I naturally got back in the studio to work on my submission. Here is my entry for Sky Arts Portrait Artist of the Year 2013.

Still a work in progress
“Safe From Harm” is my latest painting and will be my submission for this years Summer Exhibition at The Royal Academy, London.
Hand cut stencils, spray paint and acrylic were used to create this piece which stands at 120cm x 60cm.
I’ll find out in May if it has been accepted or not for exhibiting, fingers crossed.

From the archives. Back in 2006 the man, the myth, the legend that is Gavin Strange aka @jamfactory asked my to paint a skateboard for him, so I did with a portrait of the man himself. Created with hand-cut stencils, including the pattern, I even personally delivered this to him way back when.
