When I was younger I loved comic heros, my room was covered with posters and I had drawings on paper all over and sketchbooks filled will drawings of super heros and villains. I collected Spiderman comics and cards a lot especially through the period of Todd McFarlane illustrating the characters.
My latest painting which stands at 47” x 31”, is of one of my favourite characters from Spiderman, “Venom.” Like many fans of Spiderman I was looking forward to the movie “Spiderman3” and felt that it could have been darker and more focused on Spiderman vs Venom. I really enjoyed doing this painting and creating an image of how I perceive a dark, terrifying and frightening character that I used to draw all the time when I was younger.
